School News

Dear Hunt Highlander Community,

We have reached the end of a school year like no other. Despite all of the many challenges and changes, our students have persevered together and have grown stronger as a result. Families, guardians, and caregivers have been there every step along the way to support their children and the school staff. I can't thank everyone enough for your hours of volunteering, organizing, donating, planning and doing whatever was necessary to support students, both at home and at school. Special thanks to our PTA who, as usual, went above and beyond the call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our students' already rich school experience. That experience could not occur without the endless energy, skills and devotion of the Highlander staff. Thanks and well done to an incredible group of dedicated professionals.

A final word to Hunt students: Thank you for all your hard work throughout the school year. I am so honored to be your principal; you make me proud to be a Hunt Highlander. You keep me laughing and eager to learn more about what inspires you as individuals. Best wishes to our 6th grade students who are moving on to discover new challenges and adventures in Junior High. You will be greatly missed. Please come back and visit.

I would also like to acknowledge staff who will be leaving Hunt at the end of the school year. I wish you the best of luck and thank you for the lasting impact you've had on the staff and students at Hunt Elementary. I would also like to extend my best wishes to all students and families who will be moving away and leaving our school community.

Everyone have a safe and happy summer break. Hopefully we will all get the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends and come back to school with a sense of rejuvenation in the fall.

Until next year, here's wishing you joy, laughter and learning.

Respectfully and with gratitude,

Mr. Pete
